7 Rules for Recording Police

The comment was made that: "... as a teacher, I always hear about how there's so many bad teachers when in reality, truly bad teachers are the vast minority. I'm sure it's the same with the police and any other job for that matter (except Congress)."

My reply:

The problem within this particular context is that the "job" of the police is not just another job. Although they are employees their employer (government) is in totally different realm than all the other "jobs" within the social sphere of society. We need to see that we are dealing with a totally different context and that it's not just another "job".

However your comment serves as a perfect example of why Americans are in serious need of deeper understanding regarding the true nature of this "different realm". The need exists because government schools do not provide the full truth as to one of the most real limits for government known as proprietary jurisdiction. Government may be able to legislate virtually whatever they will however the enforcement is limited to what government owns. Without a clear understanding of proprietary jurisdiction the people naturally assume all laws apply to them wherever they may be. That is simply not true! The basis for that is found within the four Organic Laws of the United States of America and this is why Americans are suffering - lack of knowledge on this crucial foundation for our freedom from government! The government school system only gives a cursory treatment to the "Constitution" without providing students with the larger context that the Constitution is lawfully subject to. The larger (and proper) context and is the second Organic Law: "Articles of Confederation - 1777" (as well as the "Declaration of Independence"). Without basic knowledge of the first and second Organic Laws the artificially separated Constitution is without it's "true North" orientation.

Exactly two months later - October 16th -

After the photographer's video was posted online, an investigation found that police had acted improperly and the lawsuit was settled for $200,000.":

Further thoughts regarding "any other job" that was referred to in the opening quoted commnent above:

The police do not have just "any other job". They act as an extension of "Congress" as the States and their municipalities acknowledge "This Constitution" as the "supreme Law of the Land" (which in and of itself is "fine and dandy"). The problem is when the enforcement extends itself under "color of law" beyond the proprietary jurisdiction of "The United States". Therefore people who have any interest in maintaining whatever freedom/s that may remain for them on land other than that owned by the "United States" need to record any encounter with the police in either the public environment, their own private environmnent or that of other individuals who give their consent; as long as the recording is not obstructing the police.
