I was shocked yesterday to come home from #expowest, stop at OB People's Food and see the picture of Debbie Ford on the cover. The story was about her dying.
I feel a sadness about this. I heard Debbie speak a few years ago and felt a real kinship.
I did not know Debbie personally, but send my deepest condolences to her sister Arielle Ford who has contributed much to my life.
When I read the story in The Life Connection, I wanted to know the cause of her death. The long story did not mention that she had a long bout with Cancer.
In recent weeks I have been deeply moved by the work of Paul Staments, the author of Mycelium Running, How Mushrooms Can Help Save the World.
There is a powerful Ted talk by Paul that describes how his mother had a very severe case of Cancer, and was healed by Turkey Tail, a mushroom.
Nadine's mom recently had a bout with Cancer. I got some Turket Tail for her when I saw Paul at #expowest.
I am very moved that nature has made remedies that can help.
I am deeply saddened by the loss of Debbie.
I know her work will continue.
I am sorry I never had the opportunity to get to know this lovely woman.
