Re: Where is the Judgement?

I don't really like to call what I believe soul sleep. That term has a lot of baggage with it and is associated with denominations that have a lot of false doctrine in them.

I would like to do a more thorough study of it all too. I have more in the past, but need to go over it all again to really understand and be able to explain what I believe.

But in my opinion, it's not a essential issue. Either way we believe on this, the next moment after we die if we die before Christ returns that we will know, will be face to face with Christ. And I still think we are in the presence of the Lord as soon as we die, I just think we are with him sleeping. I just think as believers, we are all going to be resurrected together,
and that would make this scripture make more sense, along with so many others.

Revelation 19:7-8

7 Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
8 it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—
for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.


I'm not trying to initiate a debate on this at all with anyone. I wouldn't be ready for that anyway, I'm pretty rusty on this subject.
