Re: Where is the Judgement?

After looking around the internet I do see many people who believe the way you do. After all the scripture does say that death and hades would be thrown into the lake of fire. Which could be restated....death and the bottomless pit would be thrown into the lake of fire. I'm trying to visualize this. That would be something big for sure. I guess that is when the new heaven and new earth begin, because I can't imagine anything being left after that if the bottomless pit is somewhere in the center of the earth itself.

Believe it or not but I have never read it like that before. Thanks for your input.

Lol, vektek is going to get me good for saying this but.....soul sleep is a Calvinist belief. I did not know that. I did not realize what a can of worms this discussion really is....wow. It's very interesting though.

I'm realizing that not only does this open up discussion about damnation but it also causes me to ask the question about what you believe about our souls. To me the soul is the breath of God that stays with us while we are alive and in the body. Once we die, the breath goes back to God. To me, everyone has a soul, but not everyone has the Holy Spirit. Those with the Holy Spirit go to be with the Lord, but those that die without....are resurrected, judged and body and soul are destroyed for the second time along with satan and his team.
