Even so, one can find ways to express that which needs expression... John provides a perfect example of an individual that finds a way to do this for himself.

Energy needs to move. If allowed to move naturally, it can be beautiful. If repressed, energy will still find a way to express itself... but chances are it will move in a perverted form... it will move in a negative direction, it will become a destructive force, either to oneself and/or to others around him.

In this song "MOTHER", John Lennon shows how he expresses this repressed energy in a positive and creative way. At the end of the song you can hear him expressing this from deep down, reaching to the very depths of his being. This is a way how to come clean of the anguish from the past without being violent to oneself or others, (i.e. unconscious revenge).

One can learn through experiencing their emotions if one allows himself the opportunity to do so. This means, accepting the so-called "bad" parts of oneself along with the so-called "good".

In "Jealous Guy" you can see in his words that John understands (through his experience) that jealousy can be a very negative force that hurts others... and there is a side of himself that is capable of expressing this ugly "jealous guy". It is most important to note that this song shows he accepts this part of himself. His is apologetic for the hurt he has caused but he also says that this a part that needs expression, so please "watch out". And he is watching it himself also. Watching is all that needs to be done, really. Understanding comes as a result.


Acceptance of oneself, is accepting ALL aspects of oneself. Not just the parts that others like, but also the parts that are considered not so nice... the "wicked" and "evil" also. It shows that man is both the "good" and the "bad", together... both the divine and the devil, together.

Unfortunately, society (parents, teachers, religious priests, politicians, and moralists in general etc.) don't view this in this way. Jealousy, greed, sadness, are things to keep hidden from others, to keep buried deep within the individual, to be pushed deep within the unconscious and act as if it isn't there at all. And if such modes of behavior ever surface from this basement of one's being, then it is the work of the devil, Satan... evil spirits or the doings of those that worship the devil and/or are elite members of the Illuminati. One may seek an exorcist as a way to cure this. Perhaps, it may help in stopping this particular form of expression but the energy still needs expression, and will continue to seek ways of doing so... possibly moving to destroy the organs of the human body if it hasn't already done this.

A better society will be created when we as a humanity come to understand that man is both "good" and "bad", together. Then the divisions that go on keeping us separate from one another can diminish. But up until then, people will continue to live pointing fingers at each. The finger pointers claiming to be the "good" or the ones that are "right". Those being pointed at as being the "bad" or those that are in the "wrong".
