  I would suggest that you purchase and consume sea salt that is mined from ancient sea beds and not salt coming from present-day seas containing pollutants and heavy metals. Also, ancient sea bed hundreds of feet below the earth’s surface do not have organic matter such as bacteria or bird crap in it. The salt is so concentrated that it desicates and disintegrates any organic matter into plain harmless carbon.   I usually drink spring water I buy in clear plastic bottles but am wondering if adding a little bit sea salt makes it more healthy. Therefore, I added about one tablespoon of celtic sea salt into one gallon of water. I kept sipping the sea salt water all day but felt thirty shortly after each drink. Did I add too much sea salt? Is it a normal reaction for someone that has been drinking plain water fundamentally since birth? Is sea salt solution at the above concentration a healthy replacement of plain water? The description of it is Sea salt, coarse ground Sodium chloride - however they also had Sea salt, Dead Sea mineral Sodium chloride.   Epsom salts are not at all like sea salt or table salts! ES is magnesium sulphate a mineral used only in the gallbladder liver flush, never as a seasoning! Sea salt comes un refined and un ionized unlike table salt which is refinsd and processed!! Sea salt has many minerals plus sodium that gives it its seasoning qualities!   Sea salt is not the same as table salt, particularly Celtic Sea Salt. Too much sodium being bad for you is probably true if you don’t have AF. Nevertheless, sodium is critical for so many cellular functions, just as important as calcium, glucose, ATP, etc. Typically Sea salt loses it’s Iodine in the processing of the salt. The idea is that Sea Salt has more of the body’s essential minerals while table salt is simply sodium chloride with Iodine added.   I’ve been using about 1 lb of magnesium. A cup or two has noticeable effect. A cup is all I need in providing muscle relaxation. I have looked into sea salts. I found a very helpful link when clicking on the term sea salt - under the section of Sources. The company I found was called SaltWorks, Inc. It also sold the dead sea salt for about $2.25/lb. for the 20 lb.pound bag. I settled on the dead sea salt because its ratio of magnesium, chloride, calcium, and potassium ions are rather well balanced.   Obviously an excess of anything, salt included would not be advised, but I’ve experienced great benefits from adding just 1/4th teaspoon of Pink Himalyan Sea Salt to my diet each day; I wrote about my observations in the earlier Sea Salt post: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=767164#i MH said he was opposed of the usage of salts in our diets including sea salt, but I’d definitely like to hear more of his observations and reasonings on this.   If you can’t find unrefined, then by all means use refined - it will have to do! Definitely sea salt, NOT epsom salts. I used sea salt until I found celtic sea salt, which is thick, coarse, and grey - definitely unrefined, and really delicious. You can find it at some health food stores - the raw store near me sells it, and probably online, too. But otherwise followed exactly the ”curezone” liver cleanse formula: Ate nothing after 2 p.m. At 6 pm took 3/4 cup distilled water with sea salt At 8 pm took 3/4 cup distilled water with sea salt At 10 pm took 1/2 cup olive oil mixed with 1/2 cup fresh grapefruit juice. The recipe I have is 2TBS to 1 Quart Water. However I am unable to keep down the Quart of Sea Salt Water, it causes my stomach to be quite upset, and today, Day 2 when I injested the Sea Salt Solution I threw it back up about a half hour later.   Sea Salt kills bacteria and parasites. I remember my peditrician used to tell my Mom to have me gargle with salt water when I had a sore throat as a kid...I hated it. The right sea salt is essential for good health. I often swish with part of the glass and then drink the rest down. I get the good stuff, Himalayan Sea Salt. You can google sea salt if you are not familiar with the good properties. You should definitely check it out.   Haha, you remind me of myself when I first did the flush. I think what made me gag was the type of sea salt I was using and the temperature I was drinking it in. If you are using white sea salt, you should know that there are better tasting sea salts out there. Many of the experienced MCers recommend grey celtic sea salt. I haven’t found that one, but I use a salt by the name of ”Redmond’s Real Salt.” In 2004, it won the best taste award by the American Culinary Institute. Well, I understand that salt like Himalayan salt IS sea salt, just ”old” sea salt back from when that area was underwater. Perhaps Real Salt, too.   I think I am allergic to sea salt as well. I get the same reaction when I eat products that contain sea salt as when I eat some fish; my lower lip swells up. I avoid ”health food” cookies, candy bars, chips, etc. because I have had numerous reactions after eating these products. I can eat a regular chocolate cookie but not a cookie from a health food store that contains sea salt. My allergist says that it is not the sea salt and must be something else.   If you buy Sea Salt and it is dry to the touch then it has been dehydrated in a 1,200 degree F drying oven. So all the elements besides Sodium Chloride have been removed from the salt and it is little different from table salt in structure and will then leave you dry as before. You can get Unrefined sea salt at Korean Grocery Stores as it is a key ingredient in the dish Kim Chee. You can also get Unrefined Sea Salt for real cheap on Ebay.   3,907 hits

  I bought the Redmond Real Salt - Gourmet All Natural Sea Salt but it says at the bottom that ”Contains 50+ trace mineral, including iodine”. The back says the trace mineral of Iodine is .002% but then it goes on to say that it is not a dietary source of of iodine. Can I still use this salt or should I continue to use the nasty Hain Foods sea salt. I have not found the Grey Celtic Sea salt in Jacksonvile, FL.   3,416 hits

  The anti caking agent in the your sea salt sure sounds like it has something perhaps a chemical agent that has been added. What I and many others have found to be the best sea salt is grey naturally sundried Celtic sea salt. It is much mellower and pallatable than any white salt. It is also much less astringent.   Table salt is not to be confused with unrefined sea salt. Table salt may be dangerous even for not fasting person, it is man-adulterated, has no good minerals other than sodium chloride, and if you are lucky - potassium; in many cases has aluminum, etc .. Is this a iniversal adoption or simply an added improvement to the underlying therapy? BTW the benefit from salt comes from the minerals it supplies, especially trace minerals, this is why sea salt must be used.   Andreas, i saw at health store a small pack of sea salt, it’s grey colour but no explanation how many mineral in it, just less sodium only , the ingredients are Fine Sea Salt, and others like white in colour and mix with others colour like red, yellow, pink .. This kind of salt, is’t safe to use? or is’t the one i really should get it?   Since im here waiting for my question to be answered i have a read alot, You need celtic sea salt not iodized sea salt if the sea salt doesnt work AGNES who looks like she knows EVERYTHING says to try some epsom salt! as far as the grade A ,i couldnt find the grade B but from what i have read seems to work just fine,you will just feel a little worse than you would if you had grade B!
