Thank you for your post - I had the same experience with coconut oil. At first it felt great and I was slathering my face with it but then my SD started to spread, that is when I came across this site and it was mentioned that even tho coconut oil is anti fungal it's still oil which fungus thrives on. I stopped immediately and started washing with Dead Sea Salt and after 1 week the inflammation was gone however still had very flakey skin in spots. Once I started ACV the rest cleared up quickly. 1 month it is almost gone, however now I believe I have blepheritis which is common with those that have SD. Still using salt water & acv hoping it will help with that also.
