As I stated in my original reply to the poster, standard dentists/endodontists do not know how to properly spot/test for cavitations. Just because his dentist says it's not there, doesn't make it so. If he really wants to get to the bottom of it, he should see a cavitation specialist and have the cavitat scan. Also, a cavitat dentist can often spot problems on traditional xrays that regular dentists can't. The only time I plan on going back to a regular dentist is just for regular cleaning.
