Filing the crown has no effect on the internal sealers used in the underlying tooth. Keep an eye on it but don't talk yourself into doing anything radical like pulling it as it can be costly.

I only had one root canal and it was over 25 years old before it failed. I got an abscess in the gum line and some pain. I had it pulled and replaced it with an implant and a zirconium crown. Total cost of extraction, implant and crown came to over $4500 for just one tooth. I also had all my silver fillings removed and replaced with non-metal fillings to lower my risk from mercury exposure. This didn't cost much as I only had few one surface fillings.
