Herb-gal---You're how old now? 23? Are you still with that same guy, the narcissist? The one who moved his mooching friend in with you after you had the miscarriage? Why do you think you can't move on? You're young---you have your whole life ahead of you. Do you really want to wake up 10 years from now and wonder why you wasted so much of your youth with this man?

You ask how to get out the situation. At your age, you're unencumbered, no children, you do have a job. Will it be easy to make a break? No, but when you're unencumbered, it's much easier for you than it would be for the stay-at-home mom who would need to get back into the work force and have to worry about how the kids are going to get through it all.

You ask about giving up on someone you love. You may well love him but it's clear from your posts, you are not happy. Don't you think you deserve some happiness? Don't you think you deserve to be treated better?
