question for those who've built a zapper

Hello everyone. I've been interested in building one of these things for quite some time mow. So I copied the schematic, went to Radio Shack to get all the parts and they don't seem to have a few of the parts anymore. Specifically the 8 pin wire wrapping socket (part# 276-1988) and the micro clip test jumpers (part# 278-017). And I have no idea what these even are. Does anyone have any idea what these parts are more commonly known as or what I need to look for at another electronics store? And they don't have the specific red LED either (part# 276-044), would any LED do? I've got everything else and am anxious to put this thing together. PLEASE HELP.
