Wisdom teeth, implications of having them removed

When I was in my early teens I had my wisdom teeth removed because I had crowding of the other teeth in my mouth. My wisdom teeth were removed and then I got braces.

Looking back I see that this was a big shock to my health at the time. First of all I was awake during the procedure and although I was on pain killers it was one of the most frightening experiences of my life, I cried in fear the whole time. First there was the cutting and bleeding, then the drilling with smoke coming out of my mouth, then tugging, pulling and twisting of the roots (this being the most tramatic part). I was thinking at the time-"these poor innocent teeth have done nothing to me, they haven't even had the chance to erupt.." The fact that it took such effort and time to get them out tells me they had a purpose and should have stayed. Afterwards I was in much pain and my whole face swelled with black and green bruises. Something deep inside me mourned over the loss of these teeth. Maybe they are called "WISDOM"teeth for a reason?

Anyway I was wondering what type of illness are brought on my removal of the wisdom teeth.

Thanks
