Re: advice requested about healing crisis
There is no time limit on detoxing! The body takes... as long as it takes! I had two crises during my big 60 days last summer--day 18 I passed a small kidney calcification, and then it had trouble passing through the bladder... it was a very rough WEEK! Luckily I had support from my excellent naturopath, who gave me herbal support and I fasted through. Again at day 57 I had another nasty crisis!
Every fast is different, and the body takes the work in order of priority (they say, new problems working backward). If you have had the difficult times you describe, I am sure your body appreciates this opportunity to take out that TRASH (both physical and emotional!).
Remember, NEVER break a fast on a low. ALWAYS fast through until you are well again before breaking, or you will extend the crisis. I have been in situations that make you seriously wonder whether eating would help--it doesn't! Your body is working very hard--help it by fasting through, keeping your colon VERY clean (I always do a plain
water enema in any crisis, and have had excellent results, sometimes instant relief), and taking special care of yourself! Treat yourself as though you have the flu--stay down, drink LOTS of extra liquids (including hot herb teas if they appeal to you, like chamomile or mint), watch a good movie or read a book to distract yourself and wait for the crisis to pass!
The leg thing... these are not leg CRAMPS? I have resolved those by taking an extra tablespoon of the foul tasting but very effective BLACKSTRAP, as needed with a glass of lemonade.
Thinking of you, wishing you well! Let us know how you are doing.
Big hug,
Somer
