I am alittle overwhelmed with all this candida stuff. Not sure if the issues and symptoms I have are normal and i should keep doing what I am doing or if I should see medical help.
Early December of 2012 I was put on these crazy Antibiotics for possible pneumonia. Around Christmas I started to had strange mouth issues which I know now was thrush.
I went to the doctors again and was prescribed diflucan and nystatin which did not work. I was informed my next treatment for the thrush would be more diflucan and Antibiotics . I thought maybe I could cure it on my own through diet and supplements.
I first went on a Atkins type diet recommended by my physician and I progressively got worse. The perioral dermatitis I have had for about 3 years got redder and itchier. My vision seemed to be getting worse. Muscle twitches, nausea, fogginess, memory issues.
At this time I started using coconut oil. Ingesting two tablespoons a day and using it as a facial cleanser and moisturizer. I also started using Candex. Things seemed to be getting better. The muscle and joint pains started to go away. The vision improved. Skin issues started to get under control. But I was still experiencing a thrush type breakout at least once a week.
Starting about two weeks ago I started a candida type cleanse. Just vegetables (diet approved vegetables)! I have lost 20lbs. Which I am happy about but I feel terrible. Here is where I am at now.
Days alternating between diarrhea and constipation (I have been taking psyllium husk and super Colon Cleanse to help regulate these symptoms)
Terrible rash on first my cheeks red with Acne like bump that have spread to under my eyes (these are just raised patchy and red), and not this morning onto my forehead.
This morning I have some blurry vision.
I am wondering if this is all normal in the healing process? I know my issues are not as terrible as some other stories I have read on here but this whole thing is a little depressing.
Supplements I am taking are
-GNC mega greens for women multi supplement packet.
-grapefruit seed extract
-psyllium husk (sometimes with Bentonite clay, but I was wary that tha clay was what was giving me the terrible constipation)
-a tonic my husband and I make consisting of Apple Cider vinegar, fresh garlic, fresh turmeric, fresh ginger, cayenne, and fresh cilantro.
-baking soda, one tsp daily
-a green supplement
If there is anything you read that I shouldn't be doing or something you think I should be doing I would greatly appreciate the feedback. Can't go back to the old way or eating and living but would like to progress to a happy and healthier way of life.
