I've been depressed in the past, and when the doctor gave me pills, I went home and threw them away, and took up yoga and jogging, and later on other workouts. I also ate right.
It's slow progress, but don't take drugs, it pulls you down even more. On a Depression website you can get help and relate to people that feel the same as you. Find a group in your area. Everybody has different reasons and some have the same reasons. Take care.
