Special Dieting, Glandulars, Lab results
I feel as though for about the last 6 months, I have suffered severe detox symptoms( I took a bunch of herbs and ALA, chlorella, etc) from multiple heavy metals and pesticides, and that in fact it is the cause of my now very slow digestion and chronic fatigue and extremely poor memory and attention capacity. However, I have IBS. Not diarrhea. Not Constipation.
So if I drink even a tiny 4 ounce cup of coffee/tea (caffeine I know, I know..), I am going to empty my bowels of whatever is in there. So food never stays in me long, ( and fruit juice does this as well as caffeine) and it always appears absolutely undigested, just pitifully digested.
Interestingly, I never had fillings.
This and the connection to my chronic fatigue and past need for ox biles to help me eat more (it is a struggle to hit the 1500 cal mark, and I am a 22 year old 180 lb man with very high Testosterone on lab results) is a sign that something is not right my billaries/enzymes/pancreas/metabolism/lymphatic system/gaul bladder/liver.
But I do not know if any of you have ever heard of the SCD diet used for the treatment of a lot of mental disorders and learning disabilities, but it talks about how culluloses and complex starches feed pathogens. They say chlorella and algea do it badly as well.
With that being said - I have very little lab work done. I still need
Metamutrix GI, Hair Mineral Analysis Test, and 24 hour cortisol saliva
Because my memory is so severely impaired, I am finding it almost impossible to organize or plan and do things for myself anymore. It is a struggle just to read these posts.
I wish I could say I thought I had low cortisol and thyroid but in reality I think it is not safe to say so. I am awaiting results to see if I have hypothyroidism, but I am sure it will say no. (full head of hair) I even could argue that I may suffer from elevated and abnormal cortisol, though I feel extremely fatigued. My brain/head feels empty. I feel zombie like.
I want to ask - Has anyone tried taking pregenenolone and got good results, and did you get severe side effects? What about glandulars for Thyroid and Adrenal. I am thinking of getting all three from nutri-meds.
The second question - Has anyone ever tried to just eat leafy greens with some sardines as a sort of low cal 0
Sugar anti-gut pathogen (in general) diet for a prolonged time and got results. This is the only type of fast that ever worked, and in part it is how I lost 120 lbs, but I struggled for 8 months to avoid having to go back to such a "starvation diet".
I truly do not know how to deal with complex gut issues like my leaky gut. In fact, it appears I obviously have some bacterial issue combined with very poor digestion because of methylation issues, potential gall stones, and very slow metabolism.
Because of this I just want to hurl hormones at the problem in the vain hope I will have enough energy to finally exercise and fast- the autoimmune attacks on me will subside, digestion will improve, methylation will improve. Being stuck sitting in the house and eating starches and red meats seems like a death sentence. I absolutely do not tolerate grains or fruit, however.
I have this fear that, my given my body's current tendency towards being starved of energy and losing muscle, taking hormones is like leaping out of a moving vehicle. As soon as I take these, I am afraid it is going to torpedo my immune system because of a lack of nutrients to support a higher metabolism. - much the same reaction I get to caffeine and stimulants.
Is this a warranted fear? Can I really feel so deathly ill with normal hormone levels, and this is all really the blame of my digestive disorder? Surely hormones could help me? Is leaky gut capable of making someone so incredibly cognitively impaired?
