I totally agree with you about the doctors not acknowledging this is the mirena. My current GP when i went to her just kept telling me that she didn't know a lot about the mirena it self as she was on depo shot and it made her crazy so she went off of it soon after starting taking it. I said the mirena is the same progestrone as depo. As I was telling her about the petition website and our forums that she needed to educate herself so that when others came in she could have some knowledge about it. All of my labs have came back normal and my thyroid ultrasound has came back normal....When describing the side effects I was having before and after removal such as horrible anxiety she just prescribed me a pill and said if that doesn't help we can find something else...I was horrified.. I don't want a quick fix I want my normal life back and to know whats wrong with me. As being an RN I think she jumped to the conclusion that I was self diagnosing @ home...I was just so disappointed because I have to take care of my 2 small children with these horrible side effects and try to me normal.
