Re: safest daily amount of synthetic B5?

Correct. Sorry if that was unclear. I did the say the word Acne twice though in my OP.

Yes, over the years I've tried numerous elimination/avoidance diets to see if they had much effect, but none of them seem to. I've tried it with dairy (which I mainly avoid anyways), gluten/wheat, red meat (which I don't eat much of either way), etc. Nothing seemed to have a profound effect on it, really. I've more or less come to the conclusion that diet (in my case) has little to do with my root cause. Although I strongly believe it is a strong factor, as diet will always have an effect on what is happening on the inside. It just seems that in my case, the times where I 'slack off' and just say "screw it.." and eat whatever I want (like junk/fast food/sugar etc), don't really coincide at all with when my skin is at it's worst.

as for oils, I already avoid most processed foods, and specifically those that contain the typical gmo oils. I'll eat some premade hummus or something once in a while that will contain canola oil, but I really think at this point that that is negligible. I also take fish oils and sardines and stuff to keep my omega 3s sufficient.

my type of Acne is very peculiar, it started over a decade ago as normal teenage 'puberty' Acne I guess, with typical red/inflamed breakouts, but as I got older the inflammatory effect of it lessened and slowly became more of an 'interior' or 'under the skin' acne. (AKA comedonal) It's like the skin everywhere on my face and back and mildly on the chest is 'congested', for lack of better term. It's like acne that never surfaces, it just sits under there and accumulates in pockets/pouches until I actually manually extract it with the help of a needle. Often the same 'pockets' refill (without becoming inflamed, they just build up under the skin until I feel the bump again) after severals weeks or months and I need to 'empty' them..I'd really need to take some macro pictures of my skin to show what I mean. I frequent the acne.org forum and I've yet to see a picture of someone's case where I've instantly thought " Yes, that's exactly what I have too".

The biggest relief I've ever gotten from it was a few months back when I sampled some Mandelic acid serums (in 10 and 15% strengths). This was a topical product you used at night. But lately I read something about the mandelic acid being linked to some form of benzene in it's manufacturing and that this benzene is a strong neurotoxin and ultimately you are absorbing some and whatnot. http://healthyskin.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8000084653/m/5350084653
So it scared me away from the stuff but it really helped. Unfortunately I realize that was/is only a temporary fix, as it was an exterior treatment rather than healing from the inside.
