Re: Probiotics May Make SIBO Worse

Thought provoking and helpful-thanks. Couple of questions come to mind:

I wonder if that also applies to probitotics that live mainly in the colon like bifidus?

Is it possible to use natural Antibiotics like Colloidal Silver or Grapefruit-Seed-Extract instead of pharmaceuticals?

How do you reconcile useing the Antibiotics this way with the article you recently posted which seemed to indicate that some bacteria (bacteroides) cannot be replenished in the intestine once wiped out?

I was surprised to see that he used oats. Many have a problem useing grains due to the damage done from bacterial and fungal overgrowth. My understanding is tha the the villi of the intestine are the primary way the body digests disacharides (SCD diet) and they get damaged by bacterial and fungal overgrowth thereby contributing to carbohydrate intolerance.
