I am on this to try to reverse diabetes. I am not doing too good with adding the incurables as things were interfering but I did some of it and hope today to start it more in earnest and stick with it.
I have recently become a vegan from a whole foods (with occasional messups 85% vegan and 90% vegetarian diet so I decided to stop meat, fish, dairy and eggs.
I loved beef, lamb, eggs and cheese but they have got to go as I heard vegan especially raw vegan reversal of diabetes and other things I have. The hardest to give up was cheese and not using meat as flavoring when making soups and stirfrys. Any ideas for helping with this?
I am trying to move towards more raw but this is the hardest of all. I average 50-85%.
I had started walking daily after years of inactivity about 3 months ago when I saw how bad my diabetes was...just diagnosed week one had dozens of reading in the 400 and 500s and one over 600.
I lost 26
pounds from that even though I am not restricting my food at all eating all I want as before.
The first 3 days of the juice fast, I lost 10
pounds and the next 2 days another 2, but was disappointed to just lose one pound in the next 5 days although my intake is less than 1000 calories in juice and herb teas. wondering why it slowed down that much.
Total weight loss since I began is 40 pounds. More to come I hope.
