What U do if worried fever's 'too' high-w/NO drugs

I can personally attest this works. (egg whites)

Wow, did my child's feet get HOT!!!

Her body stayed at a safe 102.5, and her head was warm, but not blazing.

I was amazed at how quickly this worked - and she went from pitifully moaning with a firey hot head, to a nice sound sleep.

The only thing we did different than the instructions was to cover her feet in ziploc bags with a rubberband. I wanted the egg to stay on her feet, and not soak too much into the socks. I used one egg white per foot, per handkerchief.

Skin to skin works well, too - when you need to move quickly. Some people have a problem with this, but I learned about it from an ER nurse. If your baby has a high fever, and you have NO fever, quickly remove clothing OFF both of your chests and go skin-to-skin. You will absorb a lot of their heat that way.

When my daughter got a high fever at the age of 12, I laid next to her and did this to her back. Then hubby got a cold, wet compress for her head, and then I went to curezone and found the above eggwhite treatment.

When she started to complain how yucky her feet felt, I knew then that she was going to be just fine!!!
