Alpha Lipoic Acid is fairly safe.

Also, you really want to look at your scores yourself. Ask for a copy and bring it home, or write it down in the office while you look at it.

In Canada the doctors regularly tell you different things than what the sheet shows. Going to a different doc and getting the tests redone or transfered usually results in a different diagnosis here.
