I think i’ve noticed myself that higher vitamin C doses seem to stimulate bile production. My  looser stools seemed to have more bile in them(distinctive yellow color). My theory would be that the acid is somewhat irritating the Gi tract causing a stimulation of bile to be released. In a study it showed that capric acid and lauric acid was effective at killing candida. So lets say someone has a gut that has been overtaken by candida wiping out all their good bacteria and their immune system has been paralyzed or shut down. Wouldn’t you first have to kill a certain amount/reduce the population quickly of candida to a point where the immune system could actually have a chance to fight the infection. Intersting that fermented foods(vinegar) can be high in histamine. So some people might be thinking that they are having a die-off reaction with apple cider vinegar when they could really be having a overload of histamine causing brain fog. I’ve read that some pathogens produce ammonia in their defense against certain acids or chemicals. The ammonia helps to nuetralize the acids/chemicals to give the pathogen a more suitable environment to live in. The chemicals in the essential oils might be causing this type of response. For some reason taking isolated capric acid seemed to have a much stronger effect than taking coconut oil. It caused so much head fog that I wasn’t able to take it for more than 3 or 4 days. As far as coconut oil, it probably depends on how well the individual converts the oil into fatty acids.  Maybe someone who has more fungal overgowth might have more trouble with that conversion and get more benefit from the isolated extract??? Seems like its more designed for yeast overgrowth than fungal overgrowth. I think fungus would adapt to this and might actually utilize the flax oil and the NAC before it even has a chance to mop up the acetaldehyde. Some have reported bad reactions to NAC causing more flareups. For some it might help for others it might cause flare ups.
