Re: My Biologic Dentist Tested my Root Canaled Tooth. What U Say torrie?
Well, the fact is that Biologic Dentists in the states typically charge for many things and charge high amounts. So, this doesn't surprise me. Yes, I have heard of the testing for toxicity of root canals and I, and many others, think it is nonsense. If you have a root canal, it has toxins and will continue to get more. Some people have a good immune system and can fight off a lot of the toxins for many years and some cannot.
Anti-biotics are unnecessary for extracting root canals unless you have a secondary aerobic infection, which you would need to take them for at least 5 days prior to extraction. Root canals produce anaerobic infections and antibiotics do not work well on them and actually hamper healing of the cavitation. A Biologic Dentist will clean all of the infection out, alllowing for the body to heal via the blood which contains oxygen and nutrients (oxygen is toxic to this type of bacteria). Those who pull root canals should have a certificate in N.I.C.O. They are going inside the jaw and removing dead jaw bone and it takes special training. Many do this without that formal training. What is the name of his "holistic" anti-biotic..I am curious?
I have 2 things to say about an IAOMT dentist. It is a membership group. I know the former President, who told me that anyone can join it, even those who place amalgams. I know a Dentist who uses the title and he was to be checked out by them, but they did not want to bother to go to his office and just passed him, based on his claims to be Biologic. He bragged to me about this and he does not follow a Biologic protocol; I have seen it first hand and I am appauled. So, be cautious.Torrie
