I had a cell phone and now I don't.....

I had a Cell Phone for a brief period of time.....mainly because my daughter just thought I had to have one. But, I noticed that she was the only one calling me and it was always when I driving to and from work and it was when she was driving to and from work. She was killing time and it was at my expense.

Well, I am one of those individuals who does NOT multi-task, so I told her I could either talk or drive, but NOT talk and drive.

So, I gave it up (much to her unbelievable sentence that she would be the only daughter whose Mom didn't own a Cell Phone ) and I am sooo glad I did.

Last Saturday my oldest grand-daughter was wishing she had $100 so she could buy some pink Cell Phone that she thought she just had to have. I proceeded to tell her............"When I was your age, we had one black rotary dial phone with no stretch cord and that one phone was in the hall............and we had a party line." Her response........"Nana, what does rotary dial mean and a stretch cord and what's a party line?"
