When you go to Wild Oats, you need to look for the bulk
section if possible. You will notice on the jars it will
say, most likely, 35,000 HU or 90,000 HU (heat units).

Most jars of cayenne which are of therapeutic quality will
list the heat units on the bottle. Frontier is a good brand
and if you find it in bulk, do not be shocked by the price.
It will say 12-15 bucks a pound but a couple dollars worth
was plenty for a 30 day cleanse so it is very cost effective
if not more so than the McCormicks or other store brands...

I also use my bottle of liquid to have handy in case someone
does have any heart problems or serious injury where bleeding
is involved. It can really save lives and so I keep a bottle
of the cayenne tincture in my purse or car.
