Re: liver flush
Hi Casey,
If I were you I would not go through with the cleanse until you improve the bacteria in your gut. You are hungry and weak because you are not breaking down the food you are eating. Therefore you are not absorbing the necessary nutrients.
To much flushing can imbalance the beneficial bacteria in the gut and is most likely what is causing you to feel so weak and drained. Get your energy back and start feeling better first. Start with a Pro-biotic and a Pre-biotic, focus on improving your absorbsion before you think about a cleanse.
I also think you should reconsider the advantages and disadvantages of doing an epson salt cleanse. Consider this... the average person takes in about 300mg of magnisium per day. When you do an epson salt cleanse you are going from about 300mg to about 1600mg, as you can imagine, your body is not used to this much magnisium and doesn't know how to deal with it. Some of the side effects are; very loose stool, weakness, sleeplessness, severe diareah, and muscle weakness to name a few.
I am not a big fan of epson salt cleanses but I know they are very popular and some people do get the results they are looking for. If I were to do an epson salt cleanse I would gradually build up my intake of epson salt over a few days and allow my body to acclimate. This would hopefully prevent the "shock" commonly associated with this cleansing method.
Always remember to cleanse your colon first by using a reputable intestinal cleanser. I can't stress enough the importance of starting any cleansing program with a clean colon.
Be careful and please know what you're doing. Your goal is to be healthy and happy.
