your pet hate: amalgams

Hello MH,

I have 2 questions i hope you can help me with. I am utterly sick of brain fog and low energy levels. I want my old self back.

1. I have 1 amalgam for 12 years. I'm definitely taking it out soon. the thing is, Dr Morales in Mexico may be a tad too far for me. I may have to go with my local biological dentist.
Howvevr, in another post on anothe board, your reply to a poster who had her amalgams removed was that the mercury was still probably in her tooth ie her dentist didn't do a good job.

How do i ensure my mercury is completely out??? ie that my dentist does a good job?

2. I have permanent retainers just put in this jan. I don't think there's chance of taking them out so soon. Fatre my amalgam is removed, with my retainers still there, can i chelate? do you recommend me switching to removable retainers?
