Thank GOD I didn't ask him out...!

Earlier I posted a thread asking whether I should ask this guy out who I had a lot in common with. Artsy, raw vegan, super sweet guy. Totally MY type...well, evidentally not.

He is also a poet and a romantic so I wrote him a poem. In the poem I ask him out. I was going to slip this poem underneath him apartment door TONIGHT.

THANK GOD I was spared the humiliation. My friend who lives across the hall from him told me he admitted to her yesterday that HE IS GAY.

(Sigh). It's always the good ones, I tell you. Don't get me wrong, I love gay men. Have a lot of them as friends. But being a straight woman living in a city with one of the highest gay populations in the nation is really making things difficult for me. I know so many women here in Minneapolis that are fabulous, gorgeous, etc. and are STRUGGLING to meet someone. They are either married or gay. That's it.

Time to switch locations, I guess. Any ideas out there? I'm looking for a city that is warm, artsy, friendly people, and preferably has a raw vegan restaraunt....and also where there are LOTS of STRAIGHT men!!! :P
