"Hassett and colleagues culled a massive database of insurance claims to study how often
Breast Cancer patients under 64 wound up at the hospital in the year after diagnosis, and how often some leading chemotherapy side effects were blamed."
K - they found out it is more than originally thought, another example of the drug industry giving us 'only the good news'.
Also, if you ever wondered about statistics being collected for post-marketting studies for drugs, as in when patients have problems with a medication they tell the doc or go to emergency and someone reports it, right? Nope, nobody to report to, not the FDA or Health Canada, not the drug company. you could phone it in to the drug company, and even then they would notp record it.
Thats why these guys [the researchers who did this study] had to go thru insurance forms.
Hey, why not just do that - couldn't the FDA just hire students to go thru insurance forms and find where problems exist??
LOL - no!!! - The drug companies instead say "Bury those problems, we allready know about them and are trying to get lots of sales before it gets out"
But thats aside from the report, which says Chemo isn't helpfull and it is harming all those livers.
Ya, I knew that.
