Re: What effect do antibiotics have on parasites?
I agree with everyone-- the
Antibiotics also kill good bacterias-as well as bad bacteria, so they may kill good bacteria that would normally fight larvea stages of parasites. They may not have an effect on mature parasites, but there is a reason we have GOOD bacteria in our guts. Its too kill off bad things-- including the embryonic stages of
parasites that havent reached visible stage yet.
Not to mention-- that
Antibiotics allow Candidas to thrive-- and with this in our bodies- the existing
parasites have a field day!
Soo that is why it is especially necessary to replenish your GOOD Bacteria with PROBIOTICS!! Probiotics are designed especially for people just coming off of Anti-Biotics--to prevent grief later!
Kefir is especially good for this. Yogurt is good- but acidophilus is not the best of all the probiotics out there.
I would go to your healthfood store and purchase a good probiotic. Dont be afraid to spend $25.00 or so for it either- it will be worth it and save you grief and $ in the long run.
