I think the most important difference is that between slow and fast oxidizers and sympathetic and parasympthetic types.

By the way, you also talk about gaining (muscle) weight (that you want) on a pure liquid diet. Well, as a fast oxidizer (= not doing well on carbs) I gain weight (that I don't want!) when I do a fruit juice fast.
