Colloidal Silver for Diverticulitis Flare?

I'm in the midst of an extremely uncomfortable flare of diverticulitis, complete with bloody stools, abdominal tenderness, etc.

One of the things that is recommended for this condition is Antibiotics during a flare. For me, this causes serious candida issues and I am wondering if Colloidal Silver is appropriate, here.

I'm doing the clear liquid thing for a few days until this clears up.
