Re: DEC diethylcarbamazine

I am leaning towards the use of DEC daily long term. I don't know what dosage yet, but it won't be over the 6mg/kg. Dogs in Aus are given DEC daily lifelong to prevent heart worm which is mosquito borne.

I have found some articles where it is used as an inhalant for lung disease and there was one fatality from it with that use.

I think if we keep notes, track our dosages and dosing times, and stay sensible and never ignore side effects we can trust ourselves to know if something we are doing is safe within reason and the risk of trialling is worth it when compared to the risk of never getting a cure.

It takes a few years to reach that stage of acceptance of course. In the first few years we silly ol humans want guaranteed.
