well your not alone, I believe i have this worm also, your friend woke you cause he saw them?
I am unsure how you have verifed this, just by finding them on face on morning? or did you video tape yourself sleeping? you gotta keep get more sample and get it identify ,take very good pictures ,so can find a treatemnt too kill them, maybe brain worms
I can see what appears to be spagetti / my eyebrows/ my ears/ scalp/my nose /my hands I have seen tracks , seen rounds holes in gums of mouth
i am going to try & video myself sleeping and see if they crawl out when sleep
I have been searching for help for 1 yr, I suspect I got worm from a vehicle that went too south America several times before i bought it
doctors have been awful here,just down rite evil
