Re: Albendazole: doctor prescribed, insurance won't pay for it.

I'm the OP. Just wanted to say that after 7 solid weeks (!!) of "harassing the doctor's office" for this darn Toxocara blood test, out of the blue they called me up yesterday & scheduled my blood test for it for today---whoo hoo!! Just came from there. :) It will take 7-10 days for the results; the insurance co. has put a hold on my appeal till the results are in, but even the doctor is now getting on board with contacting them on my behalf too. If all else fails though, I found a feed store a bit of a ways from me that has Valbazen, so I'd take that if I can't get the Albendazole. Even if blood test is negative I'd take it at this point, though I'm positive the test will be positive for it! My next fight I'm afraid will be to have it prescribed for longer than 6 days, as I'm sure I'll need longer to get well. First things first though.. :)
