Re: intravenous iron for anemia

I have been there, done that. Allergic to oral iron, lost consciousness after test dose IM iron (shot), ended up with no measurable ferritin in my blood, and on IV iron averaging every other week for 3.5 years. My hematologist/Oncologist ran all possible tests, but could not find a cause for me losing all that iron within a week of each infusion.
