I am sure there is a post somewhere as to how to balance each individual herb, e.g. in eyebright formula like say left over eyebright and raspberry leaves herbs. what proportion of alcohol I put in individual herbs so that when I am running out of eyebright formula tincture (all herbs mixed together) and then need to prepare barberry root and goldenseal root tinctures again how much alocohol should be added so that I can take 1 part of each of those tinctures and make eyebright formula?

I don't understand exactly what you're asking.  Are you saying you want to tincture every herb that is in the eyebright formula by itself and then put them all together to make the eyebright formula or are you wanting to add tinctures to your depleted eyebright tincture so that you don't run out?  You can't add to a tincture that has been tincturing.   I don't get it.

There is no exact amount of alcohol for any formula, you determine the amount of alcohol float you want in your own tinctures.  Making tinctures is not rocket science, you seem to be looking at it as if it is by making it seem so complicated.  We want to empower people to become their own doctor but I think you might be scaring those who read your posts into thinking that making a tincture is so very complicated that they might not want to even try.

Have you read Dr. Schulze SYL manual?  If not then I suggest before you go any further in making your own tinctures that you get your hands on it and go to the section on making tinctures ASAP.

I've been making my own tinctures longer than anyone on the forum except of course for Uny & Rocky and it is the most empowering thing we can do for ourselves, to know that we can make our own herbal blends and heal ourselves.  I hope that one day you can get over thinking it needs to be so complicated and start enjoying the process, I think making tinctures is a blast!

Also, I completely understand about not wanting to spend the money for a whole pound of AFP but you could have used the leftover for any number of things and it seems to me like now you don't have any tincture at all instead of having a little left. ;(  

I don't know what Uny thinks but just wanted to put in my two cents.  I'm sure she'll be along soon.
