Re: Question about diet and feeling bad on it.....

My sister's kids are so bad off that just adding a green salad to each meal made the fungus react and they all got sick and one got impetigo so bad he had to be put on Antibiotics - kind of counterproductive to what she was trying to do. Just adding a flippin' salad! The yeast WILL fight back - it is a living parasite, not some random thing that makes us feel bad. Once it goes into fungal form it morphs into an organism that will defend itself.

I would suggest slowly working your way into a candida diet, omitting one food at a time. You are wise to NOT introduce an antifungal, as this can shock the fungus into burrowing deep into your tissues and ultimately making it harder to control.

I'd get rid of maybe one thing a week or as you can tolerate:
1. sugar, all things containing barley malt (yeast's favorite sugar)
2. vinegar, alcohol (NO exceptions. I for one know for a fact you will NOT make headway even with one "off" day of booze a week - that's all the fungus needs to regrow.
2. wheat at least (all grains if possible, but your antifungal should be introduced here and can offset grains like quinoa and rice)

I highly recommend nystatin oral powder for an antifungal. It must be taken long term, but is the only one that works that is not absorbed into the blood stream and causes NO damage. That said, it must be taken long term along with an anti-candida diet to be effective. I use it for my 2 year old and myself with great success. 1/8 tsp 4 times a day. ($110 supply w/o scriipt lasts about 3 months) Eating wheat, malt, alcohol, and Sugar will render nystatin useless.

Hope this helps -easy does it, and listen to your body! It takes months to rebalance your gut after years of abuse, be patient, you can do it! :-)
