Re: Giardia? SIBO? Strongyloides? candida?

Well its time for an update:

Colonoscopy came back "clear" for cysts and abnormalities(that were noticed or reported).

an Upper endoscopy was performed with a cytoscope and im told biopsies came back negative for gluten/celiac. I had been on a low gluten diet, though my doctor seems to think it has little effect on the results of the test, contrary to the internet knowledge base.

I eat gluten free, and Sugar free. THat includes ZERO corn syrups, maple syrups,or any processed sugars or preservatives .and of course ZERO dairy, and low fruits.
Very little cane juice/sugar in the diet.

Bread and starch items are purchased in the gluten free section, unsweetened soy milk, and probiotic soy yogurts, as well as vegetable spread replace the need for the dairy products as supplements or ingredients in cooking.

Eggs are OKAY.

Though I was diagnosed with IBS, the prep drink for the colonoscopy, or either the operation itself seemed to have temporarily alleviated the symptoms, though they return with poor diet.

I want to try VSL probiotics but instead my doc rec'd Align as an OTC probiotic.

When fermentation, cramping, constipation, severe diarrhea were an issue, I lived religiously by mixing Raw Fiber by Garden of Life products, with soy yogurts.

Though the diagnosis is a blanket diagnosis everyone gets with these issues, I am going to take a step further and assume though i did not get giardia screening until months after symptoms started. it is possibly a post-giardia infectious IBS. THis is a phenomenon reported in several case studies on the subject, and doctors dont know if its the results of toxins left over by the protozoans that prevent proper digestion and enzyme production or that its the result of scarring.

Once again this could be fungal, and that will be my next steps of exploration, since having gone to three docs, none have checked me yet for fungus, food allergies , or liver/thyroid complications.
