Adrenal fatigue, low progesterone, low DHEA

Hello all-
I am brand spankin' new. I was just researching online supplements for adrenal support and got a lot of info on Spirhos (eek, i might have spelled it incorrectly, not to worry , i have ordered on amazon).
Anyways, the last year has been a rough one, i gained 20 lbs, wasn't able to get prego (was able to prego with my son on the first try) lots of depression, possible bibolar,, blah, blah blah.
I complained to my dr for a good year about the weight gain(he was new, so didn't know me 20 lbs lighter-- we moved...) anywho, they ran thyroid test on me like monthly and my throid was always fine. I kept complaining , they kept testing. They then told me, exercise more, eat less, I did, I gained weight. Then i went to my gyn because it was SEVERAL months with trying for a baby and nothing (i'm 35 years old, so no spring chicken) they blew me off for a while, just said, ahhh it takes a while, then FINALLY a few months ago i started seeing a different dr in the practice and she fianlly tested my progesterone, dhea and a plethora of other tests. I proved to be love in progesterone and dhea. I've been taking the p from a compounding pharmcy, this is my 2nd cycle and i am taking dhea as a cream. I feel beeter, much better. I was suffering awful migraine like headaches for over a month, it proved to be my hormonal imbalance, once i was taking progest, my headaches went away.
Anyways, i was at my compound pharmacy a few days ago telling him i feel better etc, then i told him but my sleep has not improved , he and my dr both told me my sleep would get better with the progest .... he mentioned something else must be going on and mentioned my cortisol levels must be off. I told him the gyny tested cortisol, but she only did one blood test, apparently it should be tested a few times via the day. Anywho, the reason i write this question. I took diet pills for years, i mean years, more than 5, probably 10, and it was the real deal with ephedra. Do you think years of taking the pills would cause harm to my adrenals now? will my adrenals ever get repaired if this is the case? It's been years since i've taken such pills.
