We have become a consumer nation which spends way beyond our means and until that changes we are going to have nothing but escalating problems.

You must live on the Good Ship Lollipop DQ ! Most people I know pay their energy bills buy groceries and pay rent and have very little left over to over consume!
Now if you dreamy eyed envirosheep have your way the costs of food and energy will triple and people are goin to have to give up something! Food for warmth or homes for food!
Gee we'll have to start eating environmentalists, that would completely eliminate the real problem!
