No NAC does not chelate heavy metals. It raises glutathione levels and glutathione does NOT chelate heavy metals contrary to what some people might claim.

You should just skip the DMSA and either use DMPS or if you have had no exposure in 3 months use ALA. ALA is what clears intracellular mercury and makes you better. DMSA or DMPS will not do that.
