iodine is needed for every hormone receptor in the body. if one has been Iodine deficient for decades, imagine the hormone imbalance that must be dealt with. also, Iodine is a daily need. once a person starts correcting halogen imbalance i see that as a fairly firm commitment. bad enough all the malnutrition before, but Iodine is a DAILY NEED. until all the tissues are satisfied and various processes, hormone production and other pathologies associated with iodine deficiency are reversed, its like giving a person dying of thirst a sip of water and then cut them off again. it doesnt do much for them.
be patient. we all need iodine. its not optional, its essential. it can take 3 months to 3 years to get iodine sufficient on 50mg of Lugols a day, according to the iodine doctors.
