Bunions, foot love & my experiment.
Okay - I'm coming clean. I have a bunion on my right big toe. I grew up in ballet and was on point for a number of years. I have a shoe fetish, too - but I've never worn shoes that really hurt my feet - who wants to do that? This bunion showed up (quite literally) right around my 30th birthday. I made jokes and remarks about how eery it was to have it show up right then, I'll tell ya.
I've painted it with iodine, with dmso and longingly look at my phenomenal shoe collection and sigh. I've read a bit and interestingly enough one night of cz reading - came across some words from
Andreas Moritz where he said that a bunion is related to Pancreatic issues. Hmmm.... I also read on some TCM sites that a bunion is located along the liver meridian. And what do most Americans have in common? Congested livers and blood
Sugar issues.
I do know that when I wear tighter shoes in the winter it's sore and since it showed up - I wear primarily flip flops around (new for me). I don't eat much
Sugar at all, maybe at a birthday party. I don't eat much wheat either as it cascades (still but won't always) a host of auto-immune reactions for weeks afterward. But -
my crackpot investigative work has lead me to these conclusions over this summer of folks feet airing in the summer breeze. Almost everyone I have noticed that has a bunion this summer - they're ALL on their right big toe. Moreover - there of lots of age groups and these folks don't have a shoe fetish and weren't ballerinas. So much for that B.S. that was fed to me.
I've thought Andreas' idea really held water and that perhaps I was rewarded for my lack of ability to eat pancreas-terrorizing foods and that that coupled with the fact that I'm home mostly and wear flip flops was what was helping the bunion go down. I can wear heels out for an evening and not be horribly miserable. But - it does hurt every month or so and can literally double in size over a day or two. Then - it's yoga toes (toe spreaders) during movies and staying off my foot for a few days as much as possible.
Now - I created this here 'speriment. Whilst partying on the hitchin and the honeymoon - I cheated like a little monster. The man bought me a bag of animal cookies (ya know the ones with the light icing on 'em !!!!) and I had so much fun. Next day - my bunion was pretty accurately double the size and very painful. Innnneresting.
I had time - so I pulsed. No wheat or
Sugar that day - I behaved. Bought veggies and cooked in the cabin. Next day - it was down and didn't really hurt. Two days later - I cheated again. You guessed it - the next day it was again - double the size (almost cartoonish how it goes up and down) and was painful to walk.
What have I surmised?
Well...that my shoes don't have to go on ebay quite yet (get back you vultures!!!) lolol - that the Incurables Program is going to provide a very telling view on how this works out and that the last year of
Iodine therapy is probably more integral than I realized in it having gone down.
I've also surmised that most folks don't know this is a 'overdraft account' if you will of places your body stashes stuff it can't deal with and that that swelling down the pike is indicative that I still have cleaning work to do up here on this end. I also figure that the verbage "runs in the family" is indicative that people's habits are passed to their children at such an early age that when a cutie gets a bunion at 20 her mom says - 'well, you probably get that from me'. Of course - because your cue is finally full.
My goal with this cleanse (start date: October 1) is to photograph these accumulations (one on my left pinky finger too which I don't take too kindly to seeing as I use my claws all day long makin art) and watch them dissipate.
See if lowering pancreatic and liver-terrozing foods makes your bunions go down and if so - please share that enlightenment with all the shoe fetishists you know!!! lol
:)
