Hi,
Your daughter is more than likely experiencing a bout of Telogen Effluvium. It usually occurs about 3 months after the triggering event. It can be an illness, accident, surgery, childbirth, stopping or starting BC pills.
You can do a search for it and find lots of info. There is a good site hairsite.com that has a forum for TE.
