That was one of Bush's biggest mistakes, calling Islam "the religion of peace" to appease those who were referring to the Iraq war as a war against Islam.

Islam is not a religion of peace; in fact, many argue that it is a totalitarian ideology whose motivation is to spread, and subjugate other faiths by all kinds and methods of "jihad".
