cloves
When the Alternative Dr checks my thymus, it's found in the middle of the chest, not the throat. That sounds more like thyroid, in the front of the throat.
If there are blockages/stones in the liver/gallbladder, Newport said the cloves are contraindicated in Chinese Med because they increase bile flow. Which makes it a tricky thing to figure out, because it does kill
parasite eggs, but if there are blockages, and you increase bile flow,
parasites and eggs can then go into the other organs from the back flow.
One of Newport's posts about them:

parasite eggs and second as a stimulator for bile production…
Cloves in TCM are contraindicated for stone disease, because a plugged bile duct doesn’t need more back pressure but requires clearing the obstruction.
However, obstruction can be stone in gallbladder, collection of smaller stones, Dwarf Tape worm, Human Liver Fluke or scarring, or any combination of the above.
Cloves can also be indicated when your bile is being eaten away by a massive infestation of the Dwarf
Tapeworm and/or Human Liver Fluke.
Difficult call but in either, blockage or infestation, more bile isn't the solution…

NOTE: all that excessive bile production can leave you taurine depleted>>>
