I would have no doubts, that nearly all ingested CLO2 molecules do get reduced to CLO2- ions (chlorite ions) by adopting 1 electron very quickly when entering the stomach.
I could see that even happening in apple juice. What do you think ?

But since CLO2- ions seem to be more stable than CLO2 gas molecules I would have serious doubts, that within minutes a high percentage of 98% CLO2- ions are further reduced.
I wonder whether the test setup was accurate to measure CLO2- and CLO3- ions.
