Well the pics. are very small, you can download to the Image Gallery for better resolutions. The root mat is important from a binding and souring point of view.If fungal growth takes over the mat it will become grey and nasty.Once you get seeds with a protein content of 9% and up you can get more robust growth. This has potential for higher juice yields and stronger flavor. With ideal growing conditions Ive gotten 20+ ounces out of a single flat. The juice was brash and brixed at 12% with 15 days growth from soak to finish. This was achieved in mid fall conditions cool weather with moderate humidity and nice mild winds. The growing medium was 70% compost 27% vermiculite and the soil augments of azomite kelp and some mushroom compost. My compost is alive and in the fall after I mix the medium I can see the insects exit the medium in mass.I have to continualy turn the compost pile to keep the roots from local trees from turning the pile into a huge root pile.I prefer to focus on seed milks for optimal mineral uptake its easy and simple.Puking is not a good sign, you should be able to chew the grass juice properly before swallowing. The potential of grass is great but the taste is poor at best.Sunflower greens and buckwheat greens are much more user friendly.
